Findability, the Orphan of the Industry
Aarron Walter on A List Apart has written Findability, Orphan of the Web Design Industry which outlines the different team roles and how they enhance the findability of the website. I’d add that good design, in the general sense, dictates that findability on an information site is as important as having that fourth leg on your kitchen stool. Good design is functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. Good design is usable. Information needs to be findable or you’ve failed in your design task.
