Joshua Porter’s point in The Problem with Social Media Marketing is that simply doing it doesn’t guarantee successful business. Social media marketing amplifies the conversation and if people are saying your product is crap the conversation will be louder. Similarly, if you’re doing it right the conversation praising your product will be louder. The tricky part is getting it all right.
